It can be very easy to see when your television is having issues with its signal.  The screen will become somewhat fuzzy and the figures and landscapes that you can see will start to become non descript.  It will also take on an element of squareness.  This is known as pixelation.  It is a distinct indicator that the signal to the aerial is becoming weak and undefined.
