Book of Kells

Visit the Trinity College, where this ancient book has been kept safe since 1653. It was written around 800 AD. The Book of Kells is beautiful. The Four Gospels are written in Latin, and it was once buried in order to protect it from Viking invasions.

Kilmainham Gaol

This gaol, which is no longer in use, was the largest prison in Ireland. This prison was once home to some of Ireland’s most prominent political and military figures. You’ll be able to see the conditions in which many of these leaders were held.
